Superbike: Torres again in the third free practice session in Qatar
The Spaniard mocks Van der Mark. Third Haslam.
The last free practice session of the Pirelli Qatar Round featured a good battle for first position, conquered under the checkered flag by Jordi Torres.
The Spanish driver, decidedly competitive this weekend, set a time of 1'58.044, beating Michael van der Mark to first place by just 15 thousandths.
The encouraging session for Aprilia was completed by Leon Haslam, third, 179 thousandths behind, ahead of the new World Champion Jonathan Rea.
Alex Lowes was fifth ahead of Chaz Davies, Tom Sykes and Xavi Fores, riding the Panigale in place of Giugliano.
Completing the top 10 of those who qualified directly for the second round of Superpole are Randy de Puniet and Matteo Baiocco.
Eleventh, just over a second behind, we find Niccolò Canepa, who suffered a small technical problem during the session.
Appointment at 19pm with the first heat of Tissot-Superpole.
