Superbike Moscow: Warm up in Sykes
After yesterday's fall the Englishman brought everyone back into line
The warm up “put things back on track” and Tom Sykes on the Kawasaki ZX-10R was back in front of everyone. For him a normal session in his style with a single shiver at the end of the session when he was stuck on the track perhaps due to a clutch problem. Behind him again an excellent Davide Giugliano on the RSV4 of the Althea team, followed by a more confident Marco Melandri compared to recent days.
Fourth place for Chaz Davies, fifth for Cluzel's Suzuki, then the other of the "green" Loris Baz and seventh for Carclos Checa. Eighth place for Haslam, who lost his silencer strap halfway through practice, ahead of Guintoli on the Aprilia and Camier on the Suzuki.
Just on the edge of the top ten are our Michel Fabrizio on Aprila Red Devils and Ayrton Badovini on Ducati Alstare.
Of note was Johnny Rea's fall in the opening minutes which dropped him to last place.
