Superbike Magny-Cours, Tissot-Superpole: Jonathan Rea unbeatable

Amazing pole for the reigning champion. Sykes and Davies complete the front row

Superbike, Fassi French Round, Tissot-Superpole. The wet track due to the rain that fell during the night and in the morning does not stop Jonathan Rea who once again reiterates his extreme driving sensitivity in uncertain asphalt conditions.
At Magny-Cours the reigning champion scores an amazing Tissot-Superpole, ahead of Tom Sykes and Chaz Davies, who however have significant gaps of 7 tenths and 1.2 seconds respectively.
The Welsh rider was not overall satisfied with his performance despite the front row: a similar gap from the Kawasakis is not in fact encouraging for the race, especially since Rea, in addition to one flying lap, set a pace on the track that was unsustainable for everyone.

The difference between a great rider and a champion lies entirely in this scene: as soon as Jonathan Rea gets off his Ninja in parc fermé, he immediately goes to his engineers to explain what's wrong and where he can improve to increase an already more than substantial advantage, if we think there are a good three seconds between him and the third row.
If people smile at Kawsaki, not so much at Ducati where Davide Giugliano only did a few laps in the first heat of Tissot-Superpole before falling and putting a definitive end to his weekend: the pain in his right shoulder, which worsened after the crash of this morning in the third free practice session, it was too much to risk and the doctors declared him "unfit to race" at the end of qualifying.
The Italian driver will therefore return home today to his family, who has just welcomed the birth of his son Mattia.
The one smiling instead is Sylvain Guintoli who opens the second row of the grid in front of his audience with the fourth fastest time, with him Michael van der Mark and Leon Camier, protagonist of a bad fall towards the end of the session: in the MV Agusta garage they are already at work to fix the motorbike.
Nicky Hayden and Matthieu Lagrive of the Pedercini Kawasaki team, qualified by SP1, occupy the third row with the seventh and ninth time respectively, between them we find Lorenzo Savadori in eighth place.
Fourth row for Xavi Fores, Alex Lowes, who is limping noticeably after yesterday's accident, and Jordi Torres.

Race 1 will start at 13pm and there is great uncertainty regarding the conditions of the track, which began to dry out towards the end of the qualifying session.
