Superbike, Fassi French Round, Free Practice. Sylvain Guintoli's minimum goal for the day of free practice was to get back into the top 10 and directly qualify for the second heat of Tissot-Superpole.

The ninth time, however, did not leave the host of the eleventh round of the championship satisfied at all, who admitted that he will have to do a great job if he wants to wave the French flag on the Circuit de Nevers Magny-Cours, in front of his fans.

“Today I didn't feel well” – he revealed Sylvain Guintoli – “We improved a little from morning to afternoon, but we are still a little far from where we really want to be. I'm in the top 10 and that's good, but I feel like I'm lacking what it takes to set the lap times. What I have done for myself, here in Magny Cours, is not good. It's a bit complicated, but we'll see, there could be different conditions in the race, which could help us, we'll see, but today was not a day that satisfied me. I did not enjoy myself".

During the summer break the Pata Yamaha team was the only one to carry out a test on this track, but Guintoli he is convinced that this will not give him a great advantage in the race: “We did a test here but we had put together about 25 laps because it had rained. I don't think it's a huge advantage, even if we improved from this morning to this afternoon. Like I said, we still have a long way to go."
