After many indiscretions, the JR Racing Team has announced the pair of riders with which it will participate in the 2015 eni FIM Superbike World Championship: the already official Toni Elias will be joined by Ayrton Badovini, returning to the saddle of the BMW S 1000 RR.

Elias is one of the most experienced riders currently active: he began his career in 125 in 2000, winning his first race the following year and finishing the 2001 season in third place.
In the following season he made his debut in 250, remaining in the category for three editions before moving to MotoGP in 2005.
In 2010 he won the title of the then newly formed Moto2, before some seasons of ups and downs in both Moto2 and MotoGP: Elias made his WorldSBK debut with four rounds left in the 2013 season.

“It's a very interesting project and I'm happy to be part of it” – he said Toni Elias – “I believe the BMW S 1000 RR will adapt well to the new 2015 rules and I can't wait to get on track. Next year will be really interesting for the competition and, although there is a lot of work to do and the team is absolutely new, I believe we will be able to surprise more than one person."

Ayrton Badovini knows the German four-cylinder well since in 2010 he won the FIM Superstock 1000 title riding the S 1000 RR, then in 2011 he made his debut in the Superbike World Championship, riding a BMW and also the Bimota BB3 of Team Alstare, with which he raced for a few rounds last year, was equipped with the S 1000 RR engine.

“I believe that the BMW S 1000 RR will adapt very well to the new regulations. I still remember the version I used and I believe that this one can only be better” – he said Ayrton Badovini – “Having a legend like Troy Corser in the team will help us improve as a team and I think I will also benefit from it as a driver. I'm really happy to be part of this exciting new project and can't wait to get started.”
