At the Eurospeedway Lausitzring, scene of the tenth round of the 2016 FIM MOTUL World Superbike Championship, we will finally see Sylvain Guintoli back on track, after his long recovery from the broken ankle suffered during the Tissot Superpole in Imola.

In Germany the French champion will officially return after four months of rehabilitation, although he still had the opportunity to regain confidence with his YZF-R1 during two private tests with the Pata Yamaha team, the first at the Lausitzring and the second at Magny-Cours. Guintoli is very confident and motivated ahead of the resumption of the Championship, in which he aims to shine and find a new place next year, as he will leave the Yamaha team to make room for Michael Van der Mark.

“I've been out of competition for several months, now I can't wait to get back into the fray” – he said Sylvain Guintoli – “Nothing can reproduce the sensations that race weekends give you – there is nothing that even comes close to this, so I am very happy that this weekend is coming. I hope I can quickly recover my speed, find a good rhythm with the YZF-R1 and enjoy the end of the season."

For his teammate Alex Lowes, however, he rested very little in this long break, in addition to having contested and won the Suzuka 8 Hours with the Yamaha Factory Racing Team, he replaced the injured Bradley Smith in two MotoGP Grands Prix at Silverstone and Misano.
The English driver is determined to put into practice the experience accumulated on these occasions.

“Lausitz is a new circuit for me and most of the riders in WorldSBK, but I'm looking forward to the weekend” – he reflected alex lowes – “I think it will be a difficult weekend for everyone, given that the track is technical, with some difficult sections, but we had a good test last month. My aim for the last four rounds is to raise our ambitions and finish the season well, so I can't wait to get started."
