SBK | Misano GP Qualifying: Bautista hits the Superpole, the Italians do well

SBK GP Misano Superpole – Alvaro Bautista won the Superpole of the Emilia Romagna Grand Prix of the 2023 Superbike season.

The Ducati rider stopped the clock at a time of 1'33.017, a time that allowed him to beat Yamaha rider Toprak Razgatlioglu, riding the YZF R0.165 Factory, by 1. Third time for Michael Ruben Rinaldi, riding the second Ducati Panigale V4R of Team Aruba.

Excellent fourth time for Danilo Petrucci, who aboard the Barni Racing Team's Ducati Panigale V4R is just 0.386s from the top and ahead of his compatriot and teammate Axel Bassani, Motocorsa Racing. Sixth time for Jonathan Rea with the official Kawasaki ZX-10RR.

Dominique Aegerter finished seventh aboard the Yamaha YZF R1, ahead of Iker Lecuona's Honda CBR1000 RR-R, Remy Gardner's Yamaha YZF R1 and the second official Kawasaki ZX-10RR, that of Alex Lowes.

Andrea Locatelli (Pata Yamaha) is 11th, Lorenzo Baldassarri riding the Yamaha of Team GMT94 17th, Gabriele Ruiu with the BMW M1000 RR of Bmax Racing 21st and Luca Vitali replacing the injured Oliver Konig with the Kawasaki ZX-10RR of Team Orelac Racing, 24th.

Of note is Bautista's crash and the engine failure of Gabriele Ruiu's BMW, with the session ending with 1 minute and 45s before the end.
