DWO has worked very intensively with all parties involved, such as governments, FIM, circuits and paddock staff to ensure compliance with safety guidelines; this is the top priority. The situation evolves day by day and this means that the protocols will be adapted according to the situation at that time. Generic decisions require an approach that involves multiple aspects and thanks to the great commitment of all the parties involved to whom we are grateful.
Gregorio Lavilla, Executive Director of WorldSBK Sporting & Organization Areas, says: “The new 2020 WorldSBK calendar is extremely positive news. We have a calendar; we have a Championship and a great return to the track awaits us. I can't thank everyone enough for their cooperation. It is right to start again from Spain given the problems that the country has had to face during the pandemic. Portimao will come after Jerez and then MotorLand Aragon will close the month: a great return to normality for everyone."
