Simoncelli, Valentino Rossi “Unfortunately these are things that can happen” – VideoSimoncelli, Valentino Rossi “Unfortunately these are things that can happen” – Video

Valentino Rossi landed in Fiumicino, on the same plane with which Marco Simoncelli's body arrived. Interviewed by reporters crowded outside the gates, he did not shy away from questions, saying he was very sorry for what happened, but his intentions are to continue racing. Here are his words.

“It definitely wasn't nice, I honestly didn't think of anything, just that I'm sorry. You don't have to stay here for me, he's coming soon. Unfortunately these are things that happen every now and then. They can happen, we already know that it can happen, it doesn't change us much. I won't stop, I didn't spread these rumors but someone else did to sell more newspapers. We were together with him every day, we went to the gym and then on the engines. Dad Paolo is very ill and we all hugged him. Marco was great and I will never forget him.”

In this regard, here is a Tweet from Davide Brivio, who is part of Valentino Rossi's clan
“In Rome Vale was attacked by cameras and somewhat invasive questions. Their lack of tact in these moments was sad.”

Then come the words of father Paolo, who despite everything did not want to escape the microphones, once again proving the composure of the Simoncelli family.
“Thank you, I wanted to tell you that Marco would be happy because he had always been available to you; I hope to do the same, a kiss to everyone.. thank you.”

With all the respect I have for a great champion... aka Valentino Rossi, I don't agree at all with that little smile during the interview... completely out of place.

In order to criticize Valentino you do it even when he is obviously shaken by the death of a friend. The smile can be seen from Km which is not a smile of euphoria. I wonder what people have in their brains… sawdust.

    Maurizio you are a fool

  • MAURITIUS said:

Points of view.. we are in a democratic country, I have not offended anyone, much less you, you must feel free to tell me that I have sawdust.. you don't know me, you know nothing about me.. I expressed an opinion on what I saw, I didn't I said that Valentino is an idiot... turn on your brain before answering please.. keep in mind that I am a firefighter and I know death very well...

  • Youth said:

Precisely because you are a vdf(?) you should know that everyone responds to these things differently. if you know what it means to lose someone who matters to you.

a person has died and you are waging war... crazy stuff

  • Youth said:

it's not war. it's silencing those who want to make useless controversies in a moment like this. there are too many jackals around. they aren't needed here either.

Maurizio, I think it's a forced smile, he smiled to avoid crying, to turn on his brain before writing, well it goes for you too, I find your comment out of place and useless.

  • MAURITIUS said:

Look, I'm not waging war on anyone... it was just a clarification, an opinion... without offending anyone.

  • MAURITIUS said:

Anyway I see that for many here...offending is a normal thing...sorry for the intrusion...I'll stop bothering you.

the smile in certain situations, even if it is circumstantial, is always annoying, a bit like Schumy who smiled after the victory in Imola after Senna's death... he said that he had not yet accepted that Senna was dead and that he thought he would be with them at the next GP... I'm not saying it's the same with Vale but I don't want to be in his shoes because I think he has more motivation than all of us to hide from his friend's death... even if unfortunately he knows it well

  • MAURITIUS said:

ohhh since there are polite people!, thank you "reader" for your comment, it didn't take much to express your opinion without offending anyone ;-)

Valentino is someone who reacts like this, he is a very clear and rational person, who often hides behind expressions that he doesn't want to make... the only time he didn't do it and wasn't able to do so was in Malaysia, in the garage. .I personally have never seen Valentino like this..the smile was clearly a mask, giving himself strength and courage, not letting his state of mind be revealed to everyone..sic's death should teach us to respect all these guys who, nice or unlikeable, risk their lives for a passion... we must all respect them more...

Maurizio, to think even in the slightest that it was a deliberate smile, I'm sorry but you're off the mark.

Valentino reacted in that way in front of the crowd of journalists, to put on armor and not show his pain.

As fate would have it, the one who put an end to Marco's life was the rider closest to him and with whom he had done so many things both on and off the track.

Rationalizing everything, Rossi's behavior is annoying, but it's only a facade, which instead hides a huge void in his heart.

Leaving aside smiles or not, Rossi's speech seems out of place to me.

exorcising death is the only way to keep it as far away as possible and these people face it at every race. Laughing or crying is the same thing, come on, I hope you'll come out of this mess stronger than before now you will have to win for him SIC FOREVER WITH ALL OF US

  • Marco said:

Maurizio, offending is wrong, but your comment was so idiotic and in bad faith that it suits you!

  • point. said:

I understand the crowd of journalists, I can understand and understand the situation as much as you want, but a "no comment" would certainly have been more appropriate.
Even more pathetic to read the comments of those who become psychologists.

  • mister said:

frankly I didn't like Rossi's interview and I don't write it to argue but because I simply DIDN'T LIKE IT... I'm sure that the SIC with the roles reversed would have responded differently... we would have had an interview with a different tone!

every time they talk about the SIC on TV I change and not because I don't care but precisely because IT HURTS ME :(

Even the mother and father were smiling this evening on TV during the interview on Canale 5, 5 said words to which one must take off one's hat and even kneel down. two parents who seem to come from another planet. And they smiled, remembering their son with a love that is incomprehensible if you are not a parent.
Marco's mother and father were smiling, yet no one dreams of insulting them, because everyone knows well that in their hearts the pain is, at the very least, devastating.
But… having said that, any excuse. Any. it's good to insult Rossi.
Little would have changed if he had cried, you would have found a reason to insult him, even in a moment like this.
You focused on the crease of his mouth, but you didn't look at the total absence of light and smile in his eyes. Her eyes are the mirror of the soul, her teeth and/or lips.
I think it is ignoble to go and raise this type of controversy in the midst of this enormous tragedy.

  • Youth said:

Wise old man I completely agree with you. Vale isn't there... he's useless. His eyes are totally dull and lost. He seems to have aged 10 years...

  • lemmy said:

You vale fans are making the controversy here... and for nothing!!!! an opinion was expressed in a respectful and peaceful way, if you don't share it ok, but stop it there right?????

  • Andrew said:

I must say that the attitude in Rossi's statements on this occasion made a bad impression on me too. It will probably be his way of reacting, but it didn't seem like he felt particularly heartbroken or even remotely guilty for having caused Marco's death, albeit through no fault of his own. I repeat, this is just the impression he gave me, but I'm sure the reality will be different.
