After taking part in the German and French rounds, Davide Giugliano will take to the track with the Red Bull Honda World Superbike Team also in the twelfth round of the Championship in Jerez de la Frontera, paired with Takumi Takahashi, who replaces the injured Stefan Bradl.

Giugliano is coming off a positive weekend in France where he scored points in both races and hopes to continue the development of the new Fireblade CBR1000RR SP2 in these last seasonal events: “We arrive in Jerez after the positive weekend at Magny-Cours, where we worked hard and improved the package. I think we are headed in the right direction, so now I can't wait to get to Jerez, which is one of my favorite tracks and where I have always been competitive. I aim to improve the bike and have fun."

Takumi Takahashi returns with Honda after taking part in the Portimao round, in which he achieved the top 10 and 15th place, and is looking forward to tackling the Spanish track, of which he already has experience: “I had carried out a test in Jerez with the MotoGP. So I already know the track, which is definitely a big help ahead of my second round of WorldSBK. Last time in Portimão I got to know this version of the Fireblade and I started to understand the behavior of the Pirelli tyres, so now I'm eager to get back on track. The team works very hard and their support is important; I will give my best and hopefully we can get a good result together."
