SBK GP Jerez Race 1 – Alvaro Bautista wins the Superpole Race of the Spanish Grand Prix, twelfth stage of the 2023 World Championship.

Race of just 8 laps after the red flag caused by Dominique Aegerter's engine failure.

After a quick restart and some battles in the first laps, also thanks to the contact between Razgatlıoğlu and Lowes, with the Briton taken to the medical center for checks, Alvaro Bautista managed to take a small margin that allowed him to take the victory.

In second position, after the failure in the first part of the race, and restarting with the second bike, an excellent Dominique Aegerter, first podium in SBK, followed by Jonathan Rea.

Fourth place for Toprak Razgatlıoğlu, the first time this season that he has not reached the podium in a completed race, and he finished ahead of Andrea Locatelli and Remy Gardner. Seventh at the finish line was Phillip Oettl followed by Michael Van Der Mark and Danilo Petrucci. Xavi Vierge completes the top ten.

Michael Rinaldi is out of the 10th, finishing 11th, ahead of Lorenzo Baldassarri.

Axel Bassani crashed after a contact with Gerrett Gerloff and mathematically wins the title of best independent driver.
