SBK GP Jerez Kawasaki – There was a significant gap in the calendar from the penultimate race held in Portugal at the end of September, giving everyone within the KRT team time to work on their combined strategy to deal with the originally unplanned, inclusion of Jerez as venue of the final competition.

The team has already carried out tests in Jerez in 2023, already in January. Thanks to this track experience, the team can start the competitive weekend with data relevant to the latest version of the Ninja ZX-10RR. This circuit-specific knowledge will add to the rich experience accumulated in the previous 11 championship races and numerous on-track test sessions.

This weekend is, of course, of great importance for six-time world champion Rea, his team and everyone within the KRT team. However, everyone's priority is to work to conclude this incredibly successful collaboration with the best possible outcome.

Rea has already won one race in 2023, despite a relatively difficult start to the season, and has increased his momentum, as well as his podium tally, as the year has progressed. She has now achieved seventeen podiums, including that victory at Autodrom Most in the Czech Republic at the end of July.

Jonathan finds himself in third place in the championship standings heading into the final race, with a 50-point margin over the fourth-placed rider.

Statements Jonathan Rea GP Jerez

“It's a strange feeling going to Jerez knowing that it's my last race with the KRT team and I'm sure it will be an emotional weekend together with the team. On the track we will try to do our best. It's a circuit that was perhaps difficult for us, but we also shared some fantastic moments there, winning races. It was also where I won my first world championship with Kawasaki. We did a lot of testing there over the winter, so we have a good idea of the setup. Of course, the Ninja ZX-10RR has evolved over the year and we have made progress in the right direction. I really want to end the year strong for my team. We are still fighting for third place in the championship. The main goal of the weekend is to enjoy riding the bike and do our best, but also to make sure we get that third place in the world championship. I really want to try to enjoy the weekend with my team. Throughout the build-up to the weekend, the entire weekend and, of course, after the race, we will reflect on how incredible this collaboration was; I'm sure it will be an exciting time. I hope I can give my best and make my team proud.”
