Six years after the pole position in 2012 Tom Sykes is still the Kawasaki Racing Team rider who puts everyone in line in the Tissot_Superpole of the Acrbis Czech Round, the seventh round of the season: the record holder wins his 45th pole beating his teammate Jonathan Rea, after the checkered flag had already been waved.

Sykes only did one lap on qualifying tyres, but his time of 1'57.687 was enough to shatter the Superpole record in Brno: on the front row with the two Kawasaki riders will be Marco Melandri (Aruba.it Racing) , remaining just fourteen thousandths behind Rea.

After dominating the fourth free practice session, Alex Lowes (Pata Yamaha Official WorldSBK Team) achieved the fourth fastest time in Superpole 2, beating Eugene Laverty (Milwaukee Aprilia), fifth after taking part in Superpole 1.
Michael van der Mark (Pata Yamaha Official WorldSBK Team) closes the second row with the sixth fastest time, the same position he started from at Donington, where he took his first WorldSBK victory. Will history repeat itself two weeks later?

Opening the third row is Lorenzo Savadori (Milwaukee Aprilia), who brought the RSV4-RF to seventh position on the grid, ahead of Loris Baz (GULF ALTHE BMW Racing), eighth. Chaz Davies (Aruba.it Racing – Ducati) had difficulties throughout the fifteen-minute session and finished in ninth position, 1.324 seconds behind the leader. The Welshman will need to find the pace that his teammate has if he wants to remain second in the standings, also because Sykes and van der Mark will try to reduce the gap in Race 1.

Leon Camier (Red Bull Honda World Superbike Team) closes the top ten, while Michael Ruben Rinaldi (Aruba.it racing – Junior Team) is eleventh after yesterday's engine problem.
On the edge of the fourth row is a surprising Yonny Hernandez (Team Pedercini Racing), who took his Kawasaki to Superpole 2 for the first time this season.
