As soon as the track conditions normalized, drying from the rain that fell in the morning, Jonathan Rea (Kawasaki Racing Team WorldSBK) reiterated that even in Brno, the scene of the seventh round of the season, he is the man to beat: the Champion in fact, he achieved the best time at the end of free practice.

Rea had tested here with other riders just over a month ago and is happy with this additional experience on the Czech track: “Fortunately we came here to test after Assen. I feel that the setup of the bike is quite good, we tried some different setups on the rear. It's difficult to know if it will be positive or not because it seems that the pace we have had, compared to the tests, is a little slower, especially that of FP3."

Times were slower in the third free practice session, with only eight drivers improving on their results from the second session. One of these was Rea, who seems to have enjoyed the bends of Brno: “The track has many wide corners, where you can understand the level of grip right from the start and accelerate at the exit. It's very nice, a real driver's circuit, but what you need is a good setup to find that last half second."

“This is the goal for tomorrow, to try to fix it and be faster for tomorrow” – he concludes Jonathan Rhea.
