Qatar – Singular accident for Poggiali, also out in Malaysia

Manuel Poggiali will not be on track in the Qatar GP. The World Champion had an accident in his host hotel in Doha, injuring his left calf with glass.
After going to the local emergency room, Manuel wanted to be treated by the staff of the Mobile Clinic present inside the Losail Cicuit.

The wound was treated with around 50 external and internal stitches and appears quite delicate. The 250 World Champion suffered a lacerated-bruised wound to his left calf in the accident, the depth of which affects the muscle sac.

In these conditions it will be impossible for Manuel Poggiali to compete in the Qatar GP and the Malaysian GP. The stop will help the muscle and skin tissues to heal properly.

If the progress of Poggiali's calf injury does not cause problems, the 250 champion should be able to get on the saddle starting from the Australian GP.
