Qatar – FP1 250 cc – Porto ahead of everyone
Sebastian Porto set the best time in the first free practice session of the 250 class in Losail, Qatar. The Argentine Aprilia rider lapped in 2'08"190 and preceded the Team Fortuna Spaniard Toni Elias by 844 thousandths. Third time for Alex De Angelis, the San Marino rider from Aprilia precedes Fonsi Nieto, Randy De Puniet, Dani Pedrosa and Aoyama.
First of the Italian riders is Franco Battaini with the eighth time while Honda's Roberto Rolfo from Pino is tenth.>
