Yamaha MotoGP: Valentino Rossi, Maverick Vinales and Johann Zarco concluded the Sepang tests

Yamaha MotoGP Test Sepang 2017 – Yamaha completed two days of private testing in Sepang, thus finishing the 2017 tests.
Valentino Rossi, Maverick Vinales, Johann Zarco and Kohta Nozane took to the track (replacing Jonas Folger, still struggling with mononucleosis), with Zarco having also worked closely with the factory team in Valencia.
The three absent at Jerez de la Frontera, as well as the Honda Repsol riders, worked on the specification of the 2018 engine and now the house of the Three tuning forks will focus on the choice of the chassis, which has given many "problems" especially to the official riders.
“At Sepang we focused on testing different engines and once we have decided on the specifications, we will work on the new chassis.” – a Yamaha source told Autosport.
Rossi and Vinales had four different bikes at their disposal (see photo), while Zarco had two specifications.
Of these, at least one from 2016 (seat truncated for the rear light) and 2017 (pointed saddle), with a comparison that was intended to identify the best solution for 2018.
Alex Briggs, Valentino Rossi's mechanic, wrote on Twitter: “The garage looked like a spare parts shop for the M1. There was something for everyone. Today (yesterday, ed.) was a great day of testing. Many laps in the dry and some in the afternoon in the wet, as we hoped.”
Maverick Vinales seems to be satisfied judging by this tweet:
