The economic crisis which has already eliminated more than one manufacturer in F1 (the latest example is Toyota and there is also talk of Renault), will certainly lead to a drastic change in the world championship as well. In fact, Dorna's (rights holder) contract with the manufacturers expires at the end of 2011. This could lead after Moto2 (a class that will replace the 250cc next year) to Moto1, basically a category without official manufacturers and with bikes managed by external teams and with a 1000cc engine derived from the series. This initiative has been welcomed by all the manufacturers, teams and the International Federation, although the reaction of the SBK promoter, Infront Motorsports, remains to be seen.

In these months the members of the MSMA will meet to review the renewal of the contract with Dorna, a contract which expires after the 2011 season and therefore it cannot be ruled out that starting from that date there will be a championship without the official representation of factories, in particularly the Japanese, who are seriously affected by the bad economic situation. Another issue to be resolved will be that of the tyres, Bridgestone which has already announced that it will withdraw from F1, in fact it has a contract which expires at the end of 2011 and it is not certain that this contract will be renewed. At this point the experience with Moto2 will therefore be fundamental to facilitate the transition to Moto1, the future has already begun.

In my opinion, Carmelo Ezpeleta, Master Dorna, doesn't like the fact that the SBK is improving year after year, the world championship is now falling apart and they no longer know what to do to make it return to its old splendor and destroy the SBK, in fact they have made every example of everything 1000cc, 800cc and moto2 600cc (supersports modified only for motogp aesthetics) and with their respective regulations, I forgot the world championship is now 62 years old the sbk is 21 years old as they say we throw away a young thing for an old thing, sbk 7 construction houses world championship 5 manufacturers say hello to you…………

and yes it's too good to copy from SBK! Everyone has understood that SBK has now surpassed Moto GP both in terms of costs and entertainment! At this point it would be better to combine the 2 championships to make just 1
