Stefan Bradl, 2 Moto2011 world champion, will ride the Honda 1000 for the first time in the tests that will take place in Sepang from 31 January to 2 February. In the post tests Valencia had in fact tested the RC212V 800cc (see photo). Words of praise for the twenty-two year old German came from Valentino Rossi and Nicky Hayden, here are their thoughts as reported by Motorsport Aktuell.

“Bradl will need to understand MotoGP in his first year. He is in my opinion a very intelligent rider – said Valentino Rossi – he will have to show his talent and I hope he is slower than me! ”

“When I arrived in the world championship in 2003 I came directly from America – added Nicky Hayden – I was still very young and had no experience at World Cup level. He has been in the paddock for a long time, he knows the circuits, the people and this will certainly help him. It's always good to have new recruits in MotoGP, I'm curious to see how they'll fare. It is also important to have a German rider, MotoGP is very popular in Germany. There are always a lot of people at the Sachsenring, so I'm happy to be able to go back; some people don't like the track, but I like it a lot.”

“I would like to finish the first half of the season among the top seven/nine riders and then permanently reach the top five or so – said Stefan Bradl – The long-term goal is the world championship, it would be the maximum.”
