MotoGP: Valentino Rossi “I would like to race again, the strongest now? Lorenzo"MotoGP: Valentino Rossi “I would like to race again, the strongest now? Lorenzo"

Valentino Rossi spoke on the eve of the Valencia GP week in an interview given to Sky Sport, a pay TV which from next year will broadcast the world championship exclusively and which will be the sponsor of the newly formed Team VR46 Moto3, which will see Romano Fenati and a another driver still to choose. The nine-time world champion answered various questions, here is what the Pesaro native declared.

“I have a contract until 2014, but I would like to race again, for another two seasons. The tenth world title is a dream, not an obsession. This, meanwhile, was a good year. Lorenzo proved that he is now the best.  Winning in Assen was special. In these 2 years I asked myself if I could still fight for victory. Behind Agostini and Hailwood I consider myself the best driver in history. "

Rossi then talked about the four wheels “Four wheels are not a faded passion. F1 is, though. I am a Ferrari fan and I have an excellent relationship with team principal Domenicali. But that train passed. As for the current championship, Alonso is a force. But Vettel, it is clear, gives his opponents many sleepless nights. He is so perfect that he risks being obnoxious. As for the Red Team, two great riders can only help a team grow. That's why I like the Alonso-Raikkonen idea. "

…was it a good year? Buaaaahahahahahahah…he would have a future as a comedian…I bet he'll run until he's 50…let's hope for detergent in the fridge ahahahahahah!

maybe he was referring to Lorenzo!!

    another two years???
yes.. otherwise what did brivio do in suzuki….

fatman, lapidary, the truth lies in a few lines and only the great optimists see the "good year".

bibo, telegraphic, but Brivio's note in Suzuki has its reason.

    Me, too verbose.

Certainly, if he wants, he will run again, we will have to see who he will "run" with.
I don't know to what extent Yamaha will want to continue racing with Vale in the factory team and leave the new arrivals in the Tec3 team unhappy.

Will they run the risk of seeing promising young talents slip away to keep a saddle warm for Vale?

Honda has already made its choice, making room for the youngsters and has gained a great champion from it.
Yamaha was enticed by Ezpeleta, but Lorenzo didn't "like" her very much, so much so that his Manager (officially for other reasons) was dumped (he hadn't told him anything).

In any case, Lorenzo has seen that he is not a real threat to his "status", but at this point Yamaha will have to think about whether to keep him, and risk bad feelings because the new ones would only join the official team in 2017, or leave him free and open to new ones.
Personally I lean towards the second hypothesis, but here the doubt arises, where to go?

    The new entry is Suzuki.
here, Suzuki, with its "enormous talent" as a developer of new projects, is the right rider in the right team, so for him the 10th title is not an obsession.

Or, if Suzuki decided to do without the "excellent" qualities of the national Vale, the new production racers would remain (did I write correctly?). There would also be an advantage, more engines, more litres, great power.

I'm really curious, where will we see Vale in 2015?
    On the official Yamaha? 5%
    On the new Suzuki? 50%
    On PR? 20%
    On the ???? for a good 25%

What a beautiful parable we will see, not even Biaggi.

he doesn't have a wrist, his uncle can't do more than put him on the official Yamaha and pay his salary, the rubber seems to be looked at by nakamoto...………….so. THE END !!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

Unfortunately the year wasn't as good (as I hoped) and I think Rossi knows it too. But the commitment was there. He has always tried to stay with Lorenzo and all year he has tried to understand how Lorenzo rides the Yamaha. Let's say that Rossi has now made a big move compared to Rossi at the beginning of the year.

I want to give him another year of chance with a Yamaha that will also be his (certainly Yamaha will have taken Rossi's suggestions for the bike and not just Lorenzo's).
I believe less and less in a recovery but who knows.
As said in another post: this is the more or less slow end, there will be other "outbursts" like that of Assen or Qatar but they are the last air bubbles...

In any case: hats off to him and because he had and has the courage to get involved on an official motorbike with a strong rider like Lorenzo (something that many wouldn't do when they got to his point) and because, whatever happens, he made me enjoy it a lot and not I know when I'll see another one that makes me enjoy myself like Rossi (several years will pass).

Not even Stoner, who is a phenomenon who drives sideways, made me enjoy it like Rossi. Stoner was not a melee fighter (I say Stoner but I could say Lorenzo or Pedrosa).

There's Marquez who rides "similar" to Rossi but... I don't really like him.
If only we still had SImoncelli…

How can you say that Lorenzo isn't a fighter in hand-to-hand combat???
If anything you can say that he prefers to race alone, if he can. But if there is a need to overtake, he certainly doesn't hold back.

Yes N75 sorry I meant to say that these are people who tend to run away and do solo races.
        Thanks for the correction

    easy hand-to-hand combat with custom-made tyres…
why don't you do them now???
    courage???
he went on an officer, not on a wreck…

Courage is needed, to get back into the game by playing your entire career which was one of the best in MotoGP.

You can say whatever you want: little aids, rubbers etc... and even if it had been like that (and it wasn't like that) it still takes a lot of skill to do what he did

I repeat: you can win 1 title in the ass... but 9 you have to have the talent.

Stoner had the dedicated rubber in 2007 with Ducati and yet it took his talent to win the world championship or not? I don't think the other Ducati rode the same as his that year, yet I think the base was the same.

So there's no point in discussing TALENT when it's there... it's there!

if anything Marquez drives like a stoner….
it's useless to look for handles... Marquez learned nothing from the Rossi...

    1. Mugello said:

in fact he pays his taxes and has no one behind him ;-))

    2. Ronnie said:

No, you're right, he hasn't learned anything, it's just his idol, and when he battled us, he always said that you learn a lot, because Rossi knows how to close the lines well and overtaking is not that easy even though Honda is currently overtaking in braking , where Yamaha was a few years ago.

Marc is smart and knows that to acquire credits he has to talk that way about 45+1 but it's just a cunning because Marc has absolutely nothing about that other one and has nothing to learn (luckily for him)!
If we really want to nibble, the only similarity is in the media part and that's it.

“Behind Agostini and Hailwood I consider myself the best driver in history”
AHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAH THE MOST BEAUTIFUL WHORE… OF THE CENTURY!
I really hope that the bullshit he spouts doesn't have the conviction but only the presumption to convince someone, I hope so in the most sincere way for him... little boy, hahaha!

  • bibo said:

    statistically it is
then I repeat he raced in a period in which his opponents were of a lower level
there was some help (for me)
he has always raced as a privileged official on official bikes since sport production
motorcycling needed him on a media level, and in him they found the right character, the nice kid (not me) who was liked even by non-enthusiasts...
how many times has biaggi asked yamaha for 4 valves per cylinder...never satisfied...
Rossi arrives and the engine is there waiting for him...
Michelins aren't good anymore? There's no problem, my uncle will take care of it... to the detriment of Lorenzo of course...
for me Rossi was a strong rider, I don't doubt it
but I like things regular and on par
too easy with a tire to make a difference...
you can afford to stay in the fight until the end, and then take credit for the victory with half a second in your hand...
this of course for those who believe in it
    certainly not me
    bye bye
    :-))))))))))))))))
