MotoGP: Valentino Rossi “I'm suffering but I'm not divorcing Ducati”

For the rider from Pesaro, the Tapir of Striscia la Notizia

MotoGP: Valentino Rossi “I'm suffering but I'm not divorcing Ducati”MotoGP: Valentino Rossi “I'm suffering but I'm not divorcing Ducati”

Valentino Rossi is in one of the darkest phases of his career. At the beginning of the year, and after having overturned Ducati (which switched to an aluminum perimeter frame and abandoned the supporting engine), many expected a decent performance and instead in Qatar, both in the race and in testing, it was a total debacle. Last Ducati rider, also behind the satellite of Hector Barberà's Team Pramac.

Rossi, however, does not want to give up and although the rumors of his divorce from the Borgo Panigale team are increasingly insistent, he made it a point to clarify that he will do everything he can to "straighten" this situation. In the meantime, however, he received in Monza (where this weekend he will run a 4-wheel endurance race with the Ferrari 458) the golden tapir, here are his words.

“He is one of the fairest in history. I'm very attracted because I'm not competitive. I can't ride at 100%, while the others go faster. I would like to win and I suffer when I am so far behind,” he told Staffelli as reported by SportMediase. Divorce in sight? “I will stay at Ducati. We will do everything we can to make the Rossi-Ducati pairing work.”

It's worth you're always the greatest, of course the Rossi-Ducati pairing will work! I have no doubt... you just have to find the 46 that is inside you... that "cazzimma" as they say in the south... shake off your thoughts and fears and go back to driving as only you know how to do...

as usual, you have a face like... hem... tough! But I appreciate this backtracking, what you said was ungrateful and out of place, but there could be disappointment for the defeat suffered in the race, it was huge. Now seriously commit to taming this Ducati (it has the perimeter frame as you wanted, more sensitive to adjustments etc.) and becomes competitive again. Good luck to Ducati. I would like to see Filippo Preziosi (a legend!) smile again. double lamp everyone

If I were Valentino I would leave, he would be doing himself and Ducati a favor, he could go to Gresini if there isn't a veto from Honda but the rider from Tavullia would have to reduce his salary, I really don't think Gresini can give him the 15 million that earn in Ducati!!

Of course, I find it difficult for Ducati to find another rider among the top and most promising...

after the end of melandri and the disappointment of rossi I'm really curious to see who goes...
Anyone realizes that going to Ducati can mean the end of a career or being nipped in the bud…
I want to see if an Iannone or a Marquez... Or a Pedrosa, Lorenzo or a Dovizioso...
I really think they touch each other... Rather than going to Ducati....maybe a return of stoners??? He would be crazy!!!…
the only hope for Ducati is to bring out a truly competitive bike, or next year it will only find itself with second level riders...
For Rossi it's simpler... they'll give him a Honda or Yamaha for next year....
Let's just hope they find themselves having fun and having fun together if only for what Italy has always represented in MotoGP...

However, it is true that he seemed quite nice, even if a little too resigned….
    Too resigned!!!

DUCATI 2013 New but both Hayden and ROSSI are at the end of their contracts... who will be the replacements...? We already know one will be Barberà... and the other from Moto2, who eh..?

some harsh words have been given on other sites for Preziosi (omnicorse.it) well I want to say my terrible post no. 2 giving that sense of derogatory to a person like Preziosi of whom we Ducatisti are proud for the work done in all these years in the SSTK and in the SBK always winning and with many victories where the whole racing world envies us, an excellent handcrafted road bike coming from very Italian ideas and among the best-selling... in addition to its value over time and in the second-hand market thanks to Preziosi, Guareschi and all the Borgo Panigale staff, thanks to them we won a world championship in MotoGP and many victories for an Italian motorbike which had not achieved this goal for many years and just taking part in it is an entirely Italian pride. Thank you Ducati.

I don't consider Barbera a top level rider...not even Hayden...even though he is great from a human point of view...maybe I'll be sorry if he continues like this with Yamaha.. It wouldn't be bad... However, certainly all the respect and esteem for Precious and Ducati...God forbid …the fact is that the forces at work are enormous….Honda and Yamaha sell tens of millions of motorbikes in Asia alone where marketing is almost entirely focused on MotoGP… And they are more interested in marketing than in making SBK bikes…Immense resources… and they have made and tested dozens if not hundreds of frames...especially Honda...because we know so much about what Ducati does...but we can't even imagine what lies behind Honda's development...and it's unimaginable how many Yamahas have sold in recent years in Asia thanks to Rossi who is seen as a god….

Hi, the story of Hayden's gate has been going on for too long, in my opinion someone has a short memory and in addition to the fact that he is a world champion I'll report the results of the first grammes of 2010 without comments as they speak for themselves.

    Quatar Hayden 4 Stoner out
    Jerez Hayden 4 Stoner 5
The MAns Hayden 4 Stoner out
    Mugello Hayden out Stoner 4
    Silverstone Hayden 4 Stoner 5

    Understood!
Even the Ducati was something else compared to the Jap!

  • Riccardo said:

Yes. It speaks for itself..fourth…fourth quarter…azzzz…never on the podium….how many podiums have you achieved in the last 4 years?? Anyway great hayden a fantastic guy…

It seems to me that motorcycling is becoming like football.... fans... not fans who follow from first to last. Please don't ruin it

  • Claudio said:

Yes, now he has to say he's staying otherwise he'll blow up the sale of Ducati to Audi, but you'll see after the Germans sign...

Even if Hayden had good results in 2010(?) and not in 2011, 2 things are evident: The Japs have improved a lot. The Ducati didn't improve at all because it was at the end of its evolution. Now the Ducati is new and must evolve and refine, but Vale is eager to be at the top and with the red one he just can't find it

    Honor to Rossi…
Others, faced with problems, run away, using lactose as an excuse.
    Rossi, a legend!

A technical question: forget about Rossi for a couple of hours.
If Hayden, who is also a World Champion, with THIS bike reaches 28 seconds at the end of the Qatar GP, with his own bike a Lorenzo or a Stoner, how much better could they do?
Are you really so sure that the "pulse" alone can make a difference of half a minute (HALF MINUTE! in this sport is an eternity) between a Hayden and a Lorenzo/Stoner?….
Personally, I am convinced that with their superiority over Hayden (with all due respect to the American) aboard this Ducati, those two could at most halve the gap, so 14/15 seconds... which still means off the podium!
Which, as AWARENESS, for a 9-time World Champion, can be quite devastating.
Think about it, from the human side…

if we think that a certain Casey Stoner with a trellis bike first and then a carbon one with the aggravating circumstance of the supporting engine was the most successful in the 800 era all this crap the bike wasn't, for the record he won 23 races on that one bike, and I don't want to count the poles, fast laps, podiums otherwise we'll end up at night... and without receiving a single update since July 2009, and not to mention that it only took 3.5 ml. in fact some barely encouraging results for the 46 arrived with the gp 11. then the test driver demanded another 5/6 versions which he cannot drive and will never drive.

    yes, okay…
To Marcooooo, wake up a little, come on!
