MotoGP – Valencia Test – 2010 has begun

The 2010 MotoGP began to take shape today on the Valencia circuit, where the last stage of the 2009 world championship took place yesterday. There are many new features, starting with Marco Simoncelli and Marco Melandri on the Team Gresini Honda. The Ravenna rider you see in the photo (MCN), unlike his team-mate, was able to show off the new colors of Team Gresini, something that Aprilia denied Simoncelli. The driver from Coriano took to the track shortly after 13pm, the official opening time of the tests. 17 riders on track with Ben Spies riding the Yamaha YZR-M1 of Team Tech3. Honda debuted the new bike, still with a dark fairing, in the hands of Dani Pedrosa and Andrea Dovizioso. Another debutant is Alvaro Bautista riding the Suzuki. At the moment Casey Stoner is the fastest, the Ducati rider has gotten over the disappointment with how it went yesterday's race it took him just five laps to top the timesheets.

Also on the track are some Moto2s, on Team Gresini's Moriwakis there are Shogo Moriwaki and SuperSport rider Simeon. Also filming are the Catalans Axel Pons and Joan Olive, the American Kenny Noyes, the Thai Wilairot Rattahapark and the Spaniard Hector Faubel (Stop & Go).
