MotoGP Valencia, Qualifying: Andrea Dovizioso “I'm in 4th place, but Stoner has had a strange weekend so far and then it could rain tomorrow”

Andrea Dovizioso he closed his last qualifying session aboard the satellite Yamaha of the Monster Tech 3 team with the 6th time, 9 tenths behind Pedrosa and behind his team-mate Crutchlow. The rider from Forlì, before donning the red Ducati suit, wants to end this year with a good result, perhaps trying to slip in between the three in front to snatch yet another podium in this season which, being a satellite driver, was really positive.

“It was difficult because when the asphalt is new the grip is always different – said Andrea Dovizioso – then we also lost yesterday's shift. With the wind it was difficult, we don't have the pace to stay with the leaders, but I can fight for 4th place. Then Casey had a strange weekend, it should rain tomorrow and I want to do well in this last race. With the wet yesterday it was very strange: there was a lot of drifting on the straight, but not when cornering, but it happens when the asphalt is new. Anyway Tomorrow we leave very full, then we'll see. I want to do well to thank my team, I felt very comfortable and I'm happy with the treatment I've received from Yamaha this year. When there are riders with experience like me and Cal in a satellite team, you can still achieve good results even if it's hard to fight with the officials who can develop the bike wherever they want and are also very strong."
