MotoGP – Valencia Day 1 – Rossi: "The usual Friday"
Valentino Rossi, as always, seems to do it on purpose. He makes fun of us, lapping very slowly on Friday, getting closer to pole on Saturday, winning on Sunday. This is his involuntary, usual work program during a Grand Prix, as happened today in Valencia. Dressed in Agostini's white/red colors (“It feels like going back to the 70s”, Valentino's comment on the matter, for a livery that overall he likes), the Doctor finished seventh in the calculation of the two free practice sessions. “It's the usual Friday. We have some problems, but then with the team we always manage to solve them. Compared to the others I saw that we lose in acceleration and in slow corners, the last stretch always sees us drop a few tenths. Honda and Ducati are very strong, but I am convinced that from tomorrow we will be there fighting for pole..."
