MotoGP – Valencia Day 1 – Biaggi, despite everything, is "confident"

Compared to Phillip Island or Istanbul, it's a completely different story. Max Biaggi is in the top ten, the gap from the leaders is limited to six tenths, and there is the prospect of improving. Strange, thinking about the next withdrawal (Pedrosa will be made official on Saturday at 16.00pm) by HRC and perhaps by any Honda available, but anyway, once again Biaggi demonstrates that despite a thousand difficulties he always manages to give his best and never skimps I employ. Even if his "maximum" is no longer enough, for several seasons now...

“Today I had no other thoughts other than getting on the saddle and going fast. Compared to Istanbul and the last races the situation has definitely improved: we are not among the very first but without a doubt we started better than on other occasions. We just have to continue like this, not get lost tomorrow in bad choices and continue on what we understood today. On the other hand, we are all very close, a few tenths are enough and we are in the top positions"

Nicky Hayden as always delights us with little anecdotes, with statements that are all in all outside the usual canons of MotoGP riders...

“We are fast but I'm not completely satisfied. I wanted to be the best, I always think about being in that position, but I certainly can't complain. We started with a problem on the front and during braking, but in the afternoon I was already there with my elbow touching the ground! If we continue like this on Sunday we can aspire to victory."
