Mugello is a point of reference in Motorsport
On the occasion of the MotoGP class Italian Grand Prix, a race held yesterday and won by the Ducati rider from Terni, Danilo Petrucci ahead of Marc Marquez (Honda) and Andrea Dovizioso (Ducati), the President of the Republic Sergio Mattarella, on the proposal of the President of the Council of Ministers, awarded the honor of Officer of the Order "Al Merito della Repubblica Italiana" with decree of 2 June 2018 to the Director of the Mugello Circuit, Paolo Poli.
The prestigious award was delivered yesterday by the Prefect of Florence Laura Lega, in the presence of the Mayor of Scarperia and San Piero, Federico Ignesti. The Prefect, in her speech, underlined how Poli, in his ten-year management work, has led the Mugello Autodrome to represent to the world those values and capabilities that are specific to the Italian nation.
The technological innovations introduced, the projects and the environmental certifications received at an international level have made Mugello a point of reference in motorsport, enhancing the quality of Italian workmanship and know-how in the world. Poli, 49 years old, from Scarperia, has been a point of reference for Ferrari at Mugello for many years, where he completed his entire professional growth journey, until becoming, in 2009, General Director and CEO. The Mayor of Florence, Dario Nardella, also participated in the ceremony.
