Team Aspar made official today in Indianapolis the continuation of the relationship with Ducati for the 2011 season. The Spanish team is in its first season in MotoGP this year with the Borgo Panigale bike which is taken to the track by the "Rookie" Hector Barbera . However, Jorge Martinez's idea is to renew also in view of the 2012 season in order to field two riders. Aspar is also convinced that the arrival of Valentino Rossi will make the 2007 world champion bike even more competitive. Here are his words.

“I am very happy to extend the contract with Ducati for another season. Since we embarked on this path in Borgo Panigale they have been completely committed to our project and the relationship is magnificent and it is therefore an honor for us to renew. At the moment we have reached an agreement for another season but the goal is to arrive in 2012 with two riders. We are already talking though first of all we need to focus on the sponsor so we can have a long term commitment. Aside from that, we have news that Valentino Rossi has signed for Ducati. The Desmosedici is already one of the best bikes on the grid and I'm sure that with its entry it will be even better and more manageable. His collaboration will give us an advantage because I'm sure we will have the same bike."
