The three-day MotoGP test planned for 2010 on the Valencia track has just ended. Absent were the Fiat Yamaha Team riders Valentino Rossi and Jorge Lorenzo and those of the Monster Yamaha Tech3 Team, Ben Spies and Colin Edwards (he was also absent yesterday due to physical problems), in addition to the Frenchman Randy De Puniet, the fastest rider on the track was Casey Stoner with the Ducati Desmosedici. The 2007 world champion stopped the clock at 1:31.900, a faster lap than the one set yesterday by Jorge Lorenzo, who lapped in 1:31.939. It must be said that the day today was less windy and the conditions were better than the first two days of testing and that in any case Stoner leaves Valencia aware of his performances, performances which will also serve to forget the fall in the warm-up lap in the race last Sunday. Behind Stoner (who tested a new engine configuration and a new fork) we find Dani Pedrosa trailing by just 44 thousandths with the new Honda which seems to have improved compared to the first two days of testing (even today he was on track with the Ohlins suspension , suspensions that teammate Andrea Dovizioso has already been using since the Misano race) and the other Ducati, that of the American Nicky Hayden, who seems to like the evolution of the Ducati engine.

Behind Hayden there is a recovering Andrea Dovizioso, the Forlì rider who also crashed yesterday set a time of 1:32.825, putting an excellent Marco Melandri behind him on the Honda of Team Gresini and the Ducatis of Team Pramac of Mika Kallio and Aleix Espargarò . Eighth time instead for Loris Capirossi, the Suzuki rider lapped more slowly than yesterday and precedes the category debutants Hector Barbera, Marco Simoncelli (who improved his time by around 4 tenths) Alvaro Bautista and Hiroshi Aoyama, the 2009 world champion of the 250cc. Also on track are the Moto2s of Joan Olive, Xavier Simeon and Kenny Noyes.
