MotoGP: Sepang Test, Day 3: Andrea Iannone “I'm quite satisfied even if the gap to the leaders remains high”

Andrea Iannone he closed the Sepang test with the 13th time, 2.6 seconds from the top. The rider from Vasto is the only representative of the Pramac team to have taken to the track today because his partner, Ben Spies he remained in the hotel, blocked by still precarious physical conditions. Even if Iannone remains far from the top, he is satisfied because his gap from the two Ducati team riders is getting smaller and smaller and today, unlike yesterday, he also finished ahead of the Art.

“I am quite satisfied with these three days of testing even if the gap to the leaders is very – Iannone said – at the moment however they are not my goal, I have to learn and improve and we are succeeding. I have an excellent feeling with the team and I'm happy with it, we work well and there is excellent harmony. I would like to be very fast straight away but I understand that it's not time yet, there are many things I still have to understand and with time I'm sure I will improve."

“The first days of testing were positive considering that I was out of action for about three and a half months – said Ben Spies – I'm satisfied and honestly I didn't expect to get such a fast time. It was a great experience to get back on the bike after all this time and I can't complain. On the second day, however, my shoulder started to hurt and I didn't feel like continuing. However, we are improving and will improve further when we return here to Sepang for the next tests in two weeks and I hope to feel much better.”
