MotoGP Test Sepang – On the eve of the start of the IRTA tests in Sepang there was great anticipation to see if Yamaha had finally emerged from the crisis that has gripped it for the past two years. After the first day of testing, it is still early to understand how the winter went, but the words of the team manager, Massimo Meregalli, seem to be encouraging.

Inside the Yamaha garage there have been many changes, but not only on a technical level. The project manager has changed and the new one has already dictated guidelines within the garage to better organize the work. To improve communication, electrical engineers now work one-on-one with pilots. As for the bike, updates have been made in all areas: from the engine to the frame up to the new fairings. It will therefore be essential for Yamaha to be able to lap and test as much as possible, given that making the wrong choice of engine at this moment could compromise the entire season.
