MotoGP – Sepang Test Day 1 – Ben Spies: "It was definitely a good day"

Ben Spies, Yamaha Factory Racing rider, is satisfied with the work carried out on the first day of testing in Sepang, scene of the second test session after those at the beginning of February. “We arrived at this test with the engine configurations that we will use in the race with both bikes. In the morning we lapped slowly and in the afternoon we used one set of tyres. We did our fastest lap of the day in very hot weather and simulated half the race on a hard tire. We saved some tires for the end when the track was in good condition. We worked on some race setups. Tomorrow we will continue our work. We were consistently fast on used tires and that was promising. It was definitely a good day and I'm happy.”
