MotoGP – A few hours before the shakedown, three days of private tests for test drivers and rookies (here to find out more), on the Malaysian Sepang track, Aprilia unveiled the new RS-GP 20.

This is a real revolution for the Noale manufacturer from both a technical and aerodynamic point of view. In fact, the rather large fins on the nose immediately stand out, as do the new air intake of the airbox. Continuous development in the wind tunnel has also led to a more tapered fairing and many changes under the fairing have made it possible to streamline the bike as a whole. Right under the fairing lies perhaps the most important innovation developed by the Venetian company, the new 4° V90 engine, narrower than its predecessor and, according to what has been leaked by Aprilia, more powerful.

For the Sepang tests the RS-GP 20 will keep the black livery with the names of all the racing department employees written on it. To see the definitive one we will have to wait until February 21st, the date of the official presentation.

During the tests the bike will be entrusted to Lorenzo Savadori, who will act as test rider, Aleix Espargarò and Bradley Smith. While the presence of Andrea Iannone is still uncertain. The rider from Vasto, after having been found positive in the anti-doping test, will have an appeal hearing on February 4th where the extent of the disqualification will probably be communicated, if there is one.
