Abe comments on the Phillip Island tests

Valentino Rossi (Gauloises Fortuna Yamaha) 85 laps, 1'30.8
"In general I am satisfied with these tests. Today there was an annoying one
wind but we still completed a race simulation and we have
tried many tyres. There weren't the conditions we would have liked but regardless
This we found to be a satisfactory setup.
Now we will see what will happen by going to a circuit where we have never
tried (Barcelona). Jerez and Barcelona have very sudden stops, we'll see!."
Carlos

Checa (Gauloises Fortuna Yamaha) 100 laps, 1'31.3
"We did a good race simulation today, we are still one
a little behind but we have improved compared to yesterday.
We think we have reached a good level for the start of the championship. I am
looking forward to going to Barcelona to see our opponents directly on the track.
We mainly focused on the chassis, now we will also work on the engine.
However, we are aware of not having to change the setup of the bike too much."

Marco Melandri (Fortuna Gauloises Tech 3) 99 laps, 1'31.92
"Today went much better, I'm quite happy with this one
day of testing. We improved with each outing and the night was good for us
to return to the setup we had used in the race and in the first tests in February.
We also did a race simulation and the result was quite good
positive."

Norick Abe (Fortuna Gauloises Tech 3) 96 laps, 1'33.69
"Today was a bit bad. I thought I was doing well but then I did
lapped together with Checa and I realized that I was making a mistake in the slow corners.
Here we still lose too much, we have to improve."

The Yamaha Teams will return to the track for the next Irta tests in Barcelona on the 26th
of March.
