MotoGP – Losail Test Day 3 – Nicky Hayden: "Definitely a positive day"

Positive outcome for Nicky Hayden on the third and final day of MotoGP night testing in Qatar. The American Ducati rider in fact achieved the 5th best time with a time of 1'57.225, a time obtained on the 35th of the 53 total laps. Kentucky Kid has made a lot of progress compared to yesterday even if he knows that there is still a lot of work to do to get to the opening race which will be held on April 12th in Losail. The word is up to him.

“Definitely a positive day, in which we made some good progress which I'm really happy with. This morning I thought it would be the right time to take a "step" forward, because there are only two more days of testing before the start of the world championship, and obviously it's a great satisfaction to have succeeded. There is certainly still a lot to do, but my team has worked well and now we have a lot of information to think about. The new swingarm immediately gave me good sensations but, even in this case, we still have to work on it and do some comparative tests with the other one before drawing definitive conclusions. I would have liked to do more laps but after 22pm the track conditions really reached the limit, so much so that there were crashes and several "straights", so we preferred not to risk it. I did some starting tests and also a quick bike change test, to prepare for any races interrupted by rain."
