Alex Hofmann wanted to use the first day of testing in Jerez de la Frontera to try new solutions after the problems of yesterday's GP, but the rain ruined his plans and those of the Team. Despite this, the German rider said he was happy to have tried the Ducati GP7 for the first time with Bridgestone wet tires and also found a good feeling. Hofmann completed 58 laps in total, stopping the clock at a time of 1'52.610.

“I was hoping that the weather would be better today, after yesterday's bad day we had a lot of things to try, but instead I was only able to run in the wet set-up”, says Alex Hofmann. “Despite this, I'm still happy because for me too it was the first outing with the 800 and the Bridgestones in the wet and I managed to find a good feeling. We worked a lot, starting from the engine mapping that we wanted to soften and identifying the best balance; then we moved on to testing a new type of tire which gave satisfactory results. I am satisfied with this day.”
