The bad weather that characterized the first day of post-Grand Prix testing in Jerez de la Frontera "allowed" Nicky Hayden to test the RC212V with rain tyres. The rider of Team Honda Repsol, reigning MotoGP World Champion, stopped the clock at a time of 1'52"632, a time which earned him eleventh position. “The weather wasn't good today so we took advantage of it to test in the wet”, sincere Nicky Hayden. “We found the same sensations we had in the dry in the wet and therefore we collected very useful data to improve. If there is good weather tomorrow we will make further progress.”
