MotoGP Test IRTA Thailand Yamaha Tech3 Day 3 – Last day of testing on the Buriram circuit to remember for Johann Zarco, who closed the third day with the second fastest time.

The Frenchman only gave way to Dani Pedrosa at the end, but having finished the day early, he was unable to respond to the Spaniard. However, positive tests for Zarco, during which he "understood" and was able to make the most of the tires. We remind you that on the occasion of these tests the #5 took to the track with the 1 Yamaha M2016.

These are the words of Johann Zarco: “We had a really great third day, good tires to use and it was all planned to try and do a great lap time, so we fully achieved our objectives. I stopped early today, because we did a lot of work and we have enough information on this new track. I'm happy, I'm able to control the bike in the best and best way in every lap and I really have an incredible feeling. I understand tires, he discovered what happens when we make changes to the bike. Everything is going well, I'm satisfied and sure that we can do well here in October, even if we have different tyres. Compared to Malaysia I finished the test here in Thailand with a very competitive pace, which is a fantastic sign for Qatar."

The constant growth of Hafizh Syahrin continues, who in addition to improving his time, managed to stay ahead of Jorge Lorenzo. In a few days the Tech3 team will have to announce the definitive replacement for Jonas Folger and, at the moment, the Malaysian driver seems to be the most likely.

These are the words of Hafizh Syahrin: “I am very satisfied with this last day. We stopped for lunch because we've been working hard and I still have to get used to the demands of a MotoGP, plus it was also the first time on this track. I improved every day and with every outing. In the last session we made a huge step forward and that was my goal, because yesterday wasn't bad, but I was sure I could do even more. Overall, I am very happy and hope to see the team again soon. We have a good feeling with the bike! I want to thank the whole Monster Yamaha Tech3 team for all the information and also Johann, who helped me a lot to improve. I want to thank Hervé, Yamaha, Monster and all the people involved for this opportunity and I really hope to be able to continue this extraordinary adventure."

I have serious doubts that Zarco's performances are comparable to those of the official team. He has old material, he can only test what they give him and it's not much, in short, during the test he only has that bike and that electronics available, it's like a race weekend, he goes on the track and improves day after day day with what he has. Also what complicates this test is that they had a lot of tires to try, including softer types than the ones they will bring to the race, and probably none of the tires available will be the ones they will have for this race.

In short, I think comparisons are useless here, we'll have to wait until the race weekend to get some answers.

We'll see at the first race when everyone should have decided what development to undertake and I hope they will bring only one bike per rider to the track.

Because Vinales doesn't seem convinced, Rossi is certainly not very convinced and Lorenzo doesn't seem so either, so I have some doubts about whether for the first race in Qatar they are certain of the choices and bikes to take to the track.
