MotoGP Test IRTA Sepang Day 1 Movistar Yamaha – Spaniard Maverick Vinales, fresh from a two-year renewal with Yamaha, closed the first day of IRTA testing in Sepang with the thirteenth time, a personal best-lap of 2:00.714, 1.287 from the top, occupied today by Dani Pedrosa. This is how the #25 of the Tre Diapason house commented as reported by Sky Sport.
“It's still early to say that this bike is better than the 2017: I certainly felt good, we worked in the right direction. Compared to the past, I no longer thought only about doing fast laps but about thinking about the distance, concentrating on lapping when it is warmer so as to be prepared for the classic times when the Gram Prix races are held."
