MotoGP 2022 Sepang Test – Speaking on Sky Sport 24 during the morning, Sandro Donato Grosso analyzed the main themes of the first pre-season test session on the Sepang track in Malaysia, underlining how Enea Bastianini was the absolute protagonist of the two days on Malaysian soil. Despite the 2021 specification bike, the Italian from the Gresini team managed to find an excellent feeling with the package right from the first laps, collecting data and indications that certainly give hope.

The objective now will be to continue on the path traced and confirm itself in Mandalika in seven days. Suzuki and Aprilia also performed well, always at the top of the rankings and able to achieve interesting chronometric results without too many problems. Joan Mir and Alex Rins promoted the chassis of the GSX-RR and the engine updates with flying colours, remaining satisfied with the work carried out by the Japanese company in the winter, while the only "flaw" in Noale concerns Aleix Espargarò, with the latter which has not yet fully promoted the new RS-GP chassis. In any case, nothing that causes particular concern for the first releases of the season.

Ducati chapter: leaving aside the controversies in the rear box relating to the lowering device (in the GP22 active not only at the start, but also during the race), with the "rivals" ready to make their reasons heard in the Safety Commission, the official riders said they were happy of the aerodynamic updates, finding many improvements compared to last year's specification. The base certainly gives us hope, but the goal is to improve the pace and understanding of the bike in the three days that will be staged in Indonesia.

Appointment in seven days, precisely in Indonesia, for the second and last three days of pre-season testing before the season debut in Qatar. Teams and riders will ride on the new and unprecedented "semi-city" track of Mandalika, which will host the second round of the 2022 MotoGP world championship.
