MotoGP – Sepang – Alex de Angelis: "I'm very disappointed about today's race"

Alex De Angelis closed the seventeenth and penultimate GP of the 2008 MotoGP world championship season in fourteenth position, despite a good start. In fact, at the first corner Toseland forced him to brake sharply and this made him lose ground. He was then in a battle with Melandri who made him lose precious time as the Ducati GP8 was faster than his customer RC212V. “I'm very disappointed about today's race: after an excellent start, in fact, I was slowed down at the first corner by Toseland's long braking which forced me to brake sharply, so the riders following me overtook me. Once I reached my pace I fought with Melandri, losing time. In the last part of the race, then, I was having more difficulty with the tires so I was no longer able to lap with the same times shown in free practice. Unfortunately it was another bad race: however, I hope to make up for it in Valencia, hoping to be able to make the most of our last chance.”
