The man of the moment. Winner in Brno, exciting tests with the 800cc, renewed contract with Ducati: they have been intense days for Loris Capirossi, who arrives at Sepang with the underdogs and the unofficial role, as said by many, of "Referee of the World Championship ”. The championship ranking and arithmetic do not exclude him from the fight for the championship, but the driver from Borgo Rivola doesn't want to think about it and, above all, talk about it...

“Sepang will be another important weekend for us”, so summarizes Loris Capirossi. “Everyone talks about the title race, but I prefer not to. What I can say is that I will try to do my best for all five races ahead of us and then we'll see what happens. Like Brno, Sepang is also a track that is very suitable for our bike and the Bridgestones. Last year I was on pole and I won the race, I hope to do it again this time! Plus I love that track, wide and fast: it's nice to go around it and have some good battles. Sure, it's a bit hot, but I don't mind riding in those conditions, I train for that too. In Sepang it is essential to find the tires best suited to the race, because on the track they have a hard life due to the temperatures and the layout itself, which puts a lot of stress on them: we will have to get to work immediately with the Bridgestone technicians. The next few months will be busy for everyone in the team and I am already excited for 2007. I will still be with Ducati and I have already tested the GP7. I liked the bike, it's fun and has a great sound: obviously there will be a lot of work to do but I really think we'll have fun"
