MotoGP – Preview Indianapolis – Valentino Rossi: "It's another challenge"

MotoGP lands for the first time on the Indianapolis circuit in the United States, a legendary track that hosted two of the most famous car races, the Indy 500 and the Allstate 400 car races. The two wheels therefore arrive in one of the most famous circuits and Valentino Rossi, rider of the Fiat Yamaha Team, after having equaled Giacomo Agostini's record of victories in the premier class (68, achieved in Misano), now wants to make a good impression in front of the American fans . The Pesaro native leads the world championship with a 75-point advantage over reigning champion Casey Stoner. Here are his words.

“I'm still elated about Misano, it was a fantastic day but now we're faced with another challenge. It's very exciting to be in Indianapolis, a famous and historic venue for motorsport, but it's clear it will be a difficult race for everyone. Naturally we have no data and we are also waiting to understand how the tires will behave on this type of asphalt. I hope the track is safe, we know that in some places the walls are very close but hopefully it won't be a problem. We'll figure it out on Friday! It's fun to race in America again, and I hope there will be a lot of fans, even if they won't be like the Indy 500 fans!”
