MotoGP Presentation Yamaha MotoGP 2018 – The new Yamaha M1 MotoGP was presented a few minutes ago in Madrid which will once again feature Valentino Rossi and Maverick Vinales. The centaur from Pesaro, chasing his tenth world title, spoke thus.

Valentino, it will be your 17th season in MotoGP, the 19th in the premier class and the 23rd in the MotoGP. What sensations do you have?

“It depends a lot on how you feel, on your motivations, if you like riding the motorbike. I have more experience and can solve problems sooner.”

This winter you trained for and won the Monza Rally and came second in the 100km of the Ranch.

“For me it is very important to train, both in the gym and on the motorbike. We have our own track and we train on flat track. We have to be careful though, last year I suffered a bad injury in training, so we will try to be more careful."

How important will the tests be?

“From my experience I can say that the tests will be very important. They usually reflect what will happen later in the season. Last year we had some problems and we will have to improve both the electronics and the behavior of the tires.”

Last year after the bad injury you had a great recovery, what helped you?

“My recovery after the injury in September, which occurred before my home race, where we had tested the week before, was quite rapid also because I felt less pain, at least compared to 2010. The most important thing when you do this job is to try to get back on the bike as soon as possible and a push also came from the fans."

We will race in Thailand, what do you expect?

“I've done a few laps in the past, but I don't know what to expect. There will be a test in February and we will see if the circuit is favorable to Yamaha."
