MotoGP Phillip Island, Free Practice: Jorge Lorenzo “We must try to win”

Unlike his team-mate Ben Spies, Jorge Lorenzo did very well in Free Practice 1 but less so in the second afternoon session. The Mallorcan Yamaha rider was unable to replicate the time of the first session, lapping more than five tenths off that time. He has the microphone.
“Today I felt good in the morning but in the afternoon I didn't ride fast. It was impossible to replicate the lap time set in the morning. We were five tenths slower and I don't know why, maybe the track conditions were different, however we'll see what happens tomorrow. We know Casey (Stoner) is very fast here, but today he wasn't uncatchable. We have to try to win and if that's not possible, fight for the podium."
