Andrea Dovizioso MotoGP Phillip Island Team Ducati – Andrea Dovizioso he closed the Phillip Island grand prix with an excellent 4th place after having been fighting for the podium for a long time. The Italian Ducati Team rider, who started from the third row, moved into seventh position at the end of the first lap and then climbed up to fourth place on the seventh lap. Dovizioso then engaged in a good battle with Aleix Espargarò, who crashed during the twenty-third lap, and Maverick Viñales but was unable to overtake the young Spanish rider and therefore ended his race with a good fourth place.

“I'm satisfied with my race today – said Andrea Dovizioso – even if, when you're fighting for the podium until a few laps from the end, it's a shame not to be able to get there. But if I think that last year I had one of my worst races here, finishing in thirteenth position, being able to finish the GP at Phillip Island with a fourth place is something positive for me. I'm happy with how we worked throughout the weekend, but above all because we are continually improving the bike. I managed my race well, taking advantage of the characteristics of my Desmosedici GP in the parts of the circuit that were most favorable to us, and I managed to stay in the fight for the podium until the end. In the last lap and a half I then decided to give up because I was risking too much to catch Viñales, but fourth place on this circuit is a really good result for me.”
