Aleix Espargarò has had an excellent race weekend at Phillip Island so far. The Spanish centaur of Forward Racing, the next Suzuki MotoGP rider, has in fact conquered the second row aboard the Yamaha Open. Sixth fastest time for him, just ahead of our Andrea Iannone and Valentino Rossi.
“I'm very satisfied, the second row is a really excellent result – said Aleix Espargarò – We have a good pace, an excellent feeling and for the race I'm sure we can fight with the leaders. Thanks to all the guys on the team: they did an incredible job today. Between Q1 and Q2 it started raining and they had to change the bike's set-up in a few minutes.”
