Nicky Hayden is ready to face the seventh stage of the 2012 world championship which will be held on Saturday at the Assen circuit in the Netherlands. The American Ducati rider will work with the team on tire wear, which at Silverstone did not allow him to fight with the leaders of the class until the end. The word is up to him.

“Assen has changed a bit over the years but it's a track that I always really like. There are some very fast sections, like the last “split” which offers a couple of really fun parabolic curves. It's one of those places where you never know what weather conditions you can expect and you have to be ready for anything for the race. If we only look at Silvertsone's result we can't say it was really positive but in reality I think it taught us a couple of things. One is certainly that we must look for a setup that puts less pressure on the tires, which doesn't wear them out too quickly. In Holland we will work on this and as always try to get a good result.”
