Nicky Hayden is very close to signing with Team Aspar. However, the American will not ride an ART Aprilia, but almost certainly a Honda RCV1000R Production Racer, the bike tested a few weeks ago by Casey Stoner (who celebrates his 28th birthday today), who was positively impressed by it.

The decision came after Eng. Gigi Dall'Igna moved from the Noale house to the Borgo Panigale (Ducati) house. The reassurances of Romano Albesiano (who took Dall'Igna's place) were not enough, as he flew to Malaysia to convince Aspar that ART would continue its development.

Hayden is also supported by Honda USA who will support Kentucki Kid in his new adventure. All this also goes in favor of the golden-winged company, which until now had only sold two of the five bikes built, one to Team Gresini for Scott Redding and one to Karel Abraham Sr.'s team for his son.

The one who ends up with the match in hand is Aprilia, which for now remains with only Team PBM (Paul Bird Motorsport), which uses a motorbike from the Noale company and one built with its own chassis. Among other things, Aprilia also has to adapt its engine to the new Magneti Marelli ECU (mandatory from this year), something that its competitors have already done.

here.. at this point all that remains is for Aprilia to withdraw from SBK and we will completely reconfirm the great power of Jettatore Marco Melandri..

Kawasaki, Yamaha, BMW… (am I forgetting anyone?)

no because it seems that every manufacturer who hires him seems destined to retire..

Oh these Italian teams who have fewer resources than the Japanese and waste them here and there, this is the result. You want to be successful, you concentrate in just one category, as Yamaha did and is partly doing but only partly Honda.

Ducati should only think about MotoGP and Aprilia only about SBK or vice versa.

And maybe they should avoid internal wars and try to steal technicians from the Japanese, if you want to go fast you don't copy from those who go slow like you, but from the best.
