Another good placement in qualifying for Cal Crutchlow, who until yesterday had a lot of difficulty keeping up with the leaders, today he managed to make the decisive step forward to make a good qualifying and demonstrate that he has a race pace that perhaps tomorrow will allow you to fight for the podium until the end. The word is up to him.

“I'm very happy to be back on the front row and I have to say a big thank you to the Monster Yamaha Tech 3 team because they did a fantastic job to improve the bike compared to yesterday. In the first two sessions I was struggling to even stay in the top 10 and today I was there fighting for pole position, so my team did a great job. I'm just a little disappointed that I didn't get my first pole today, because today I felt like it was a good opportunity to do it. I was fast from the start of the session and felt much better with the hard front tyre, which is a nice bonus ahead of the race. To be honest though, I still don't know whether to use the soft or hard for the race. I haven't made my final decision yet, and I may have to flip a coin. The positive aspect of today is that I am not only fast, but I am also consistent, so maybe tomorrow I will also be there to fight for the podium, which would be a good way to start this frenetic phase at the end of the championship. It's great to see the M1 so competitive here in Japan, and hopefully all four of us can put on a good show for all the Yamaha fans tomorrow.
