A weekend like this is best forgotten quickly. Alex De Angelis knows this well, and at Motegi he didn't go beyond a miserable 17th position with even a “long” during the Japanese race. The standard bearer of the San Carlo Honda Gresini team now only has to think about Phillip Island, the next event in the world championship calendar on a track where he performed well in the winter tests.

“It was a very difficult weekend, because despite the commitment of the whole team we were unable to find a set-up that allowed me to feel comfortable on this track”, says Alex De Angelis. “I still thank my mechanics, because after the three crashes they worked hard to get the bikes back on track and I'm sorry for this result. During the first laps of the race I tried to push but I ran too far and never found the right rhythm. This is certainly a day to forget but let's think positively, because now we will arrive at Phillip Island which is one of my favorite tracks, where I will want to make up for it. In fact, I consider today's race as a difficult moment of experience from which to start again with determination.".
